UPDATE: Nope, according to Italian TV’s Gudio Meda, it is a model built from leftover parts of the GP3 & GP7. For those picking out those design elements, good eye!
While the official launch of the Ducati Desmosedici GP13 is supposed to be tomorrow, the folks atGPinside have seemingly snagged this photo of the GP13 at the 2013 Wrooom event that Ducati co-hosts with Scuderia Ferrari. While the livery appears relative unchanged, there are several noticeable changes to the Desmosedici GP13, namely the skinnier tail section.
Our eyes also spot changes to the exhaust system, with a much shorter side-pipe, and what appears to be a larger undertail cannister. The fairings have also been refined from their previous shape, and give away a figure that’s longer than the GP12 (shown after the jump), with noticeably fewer side vents...
Whatever it is, it's closer to the 1199 Panigale they showed last year. Wrooom roll outs are a tough tradition to uphold, when the bike and team are in steep transition with a test looming....

Sometimes even the pilots need ... doubles.... And in this case, both Nicky and Vale, and not just because the American had not bounced back from a broken shoulder blade and ribs. Rossi, in fact, gets along with the snow board, but certainly not as well as the ski instructor who has taken his place for the shoot.

Madonna di Campiglio’s frozen lake once again provided the perfect stage for a spectacular finish to the Wrooom Press Ski Meeting.
Valentino Rossi, Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Giancarlo Fisichella and Marc Genè were the stars of the kart and Fiat 500 races that wowed the large crowd that had gathered to greet the Ducati riders and Ferrari drivers. Nicky Hayden, still recovering from an injury, voluntarily gave up his driver’s seat to “Uccio” Salucci, Valentino’s friend and collaborator. Valentino won the kart race and finished second in the car race, behind Felipe Massa and ahead of Fernando Alonso.

The 2012 ‘Wrooom’ event officially opens today, where the stunning slopes of Madonna di Campiglio in the magnificent Dolomites play host to a week of full of skiing, exhibitions and meetings with the press.
Riders, guests and media arrive Monday evening, after which a busy schedule kicks off the following day. Tuesday morning, team riders Nicky Hayden and Valentino Rossi will field questions from the attending media in a joint press conference, after which the riders will meet with fans. Also answering press enquiries will be Ducati Corse General Manager Filippo Preziosi in a meeting that takes place on Wednesday morning.
The high point of the week traditionally occurs on Friday, where an exhibition race between Ducati's MotoGP riders and Ferrari's F1 drivers face off in a kart race on ice to wrap up the 22nd edition of Wrooom. This year however, Hayden’s participation in the activities is likely to be limited due to his recent shoulder injury.
Videos and images from the 2012 Wrooom event will be available daily on motogp.com.

Lots of images of WROOOM, which is going on now, from 2001 to 2011. Are they really riding the Ducati GP on ICE?
